A friend recommended Do Rite Donuts and I have to say, I was cool with it. I wasnt a fan of the options for sitting. I sat outside, but there was bird poop here and there. The seating inside was really limited. The donuts were delicious. The folks working were nice and effecient.

The chicken sandwich was surprisingly delicious. The single tender is pretty sad. Get more than one. The donuts were ok and might be sold out depending on the time of day you go. The blueberry donut was kind of weird I didn’t like it too much but the the chocolate one was good

Absolutely excellent donuts with excellent coffee. The raised glaze had a nice rise and they rly use the fanciest chocolate here. The custard in the boston creams is a true custard that’s not watery but full of egg and vanilla custard flavor. You’d think this would be the gold standard but in a world is Sysco food, it definitely is not. This donut shop goes above and beyond. Even the sprinkles on their donuts is not the generic sprinkle variety that donut shops usually use. The coffee is also incredible with a sweet. Complex, bright—i just regret being unable to grab a bag to take home. Truly a perfect little shop. I tried their chicken sandwich and it’s alright. Better than most. I regret not ordering off menu with the chicken sandwich with a donut for bread.

had the egg and cheese sandwich. Hot, fresh, tasty… though flavor-wise it was giving “Midwestern safe choice.” I stared at the spicy jalapeño version for a solid minute before deciding I enjoy my digestive system too much. Then came the gluten-free cinnamon donut covered in chocolate. Made with potato flour and apparently forged in the depths of pure butter and chaos. Heavy as hell. Delicious as hell. Roughly all the calories I’m allowed for the month. My husband inhaled his like a man seeing civilization after weeks at sea. I also had the old-fashioned buttermilk donut dipped in what I think was vanilla glaze, and honestly? That donut knew exactly what it was doing. Service was ridiculously fast, friendly, and funny. They have this little pickup window where your sandwich appears from the void, handed to you by an adorable cheerful human like some kind of magical donut drive-thru fairy.

Some of the best donuts you can find in Chicago and probably anywhere in the US! This location is pretty small and unassuming but still filled with charm. The workers were also very friendly. I had to try their famous chicken sandwich and an assortment of donuts. I got the Hot N’ Spicy on a donut bun, which is as crazy as it sounds. The sweetness of the soft glazed donut paired surprisingly well with the spicy, crispy chicken. Definitely worth giving a try at least once. The donut itself was really light and airy! My favorite had to be the old fashioned style, however. I tried both the cinnamon and buttermilk. The texture is so amazing—a craggy exterior while the inside is still super moist. The uneven, crispy outside is so fun to eat. The donut never tastes dry or too dense. Absolutely worth the hype. Lastly, I tried the Michigan apple fritter. This donut was massive, sweet, and had a nice tartness due to the apple chunks. It had a good cinnamon flavor as well. If you’re a donut lover visiting Chicago, Do-Rite is a must!
